Thats right im starting with electronics...
so that you have some back ground i work in the professional audio visual industry full time and have done for about 7 years mostly on commercial and high end residential and we specialise in automation and control systems.
On small jobs like little stand alone meeting rooms etc where a crestron control system is overkill we might use something along the lines of say a Nevo remote control however right now sitting on my desk is the new one for all Xsight remote...
can i just say all the reviews ive read online about this remote baffle me... are you people paid for your opinion because everyone is raving about this thing. it has such little room for customization some people have even said its better then a Nevo.... im assuming they never actually used a Nevo remote then. There are major product lines missing from the apparent massive library of products there such a lack of ability to customize that already the money the client would have paid for the more expensive Nevo programmed and ready to install would be cheaper then the Xsight. The Xsight is less then half the cost but the issues in setting up and programming have made it more expensive and to make it worse it wont connect to all computers properly. with all the same software and same basic equipment it wont work on my hp laptop but will woll on my dell desk top will work on a older hp but not on the dell laptop...... the same OS the same stuff each machine has USB slots in full working order etc but the remote will not work on half the computers. they say it leaves the logitech for dead but personally id take a logitech any day over this unit.
